Remembrance Sunday is especially important to us at St Stephen's because this was where the battle ended on Christmas Day 1941 when the Japanese invaded Hong Kong. For the remainder of the war this was the internment camp for allied civilians, men, women and children. We remember their suffering, and we also remember those who continue to die in wars and conflicts around the world. And we commit ourselves afresh to strive for peace in ourselves and in the world around us.
