Music at St. Stephen's

Music has the power to bring us together, lift our spirits and bring us close to God in a way that words alone cannot always do. We enjoy singing good hymns, and we have a lovely pipe organ, which is quite rare in Hong Kong, built by Pels and van Leuwen, a family-run organ builder in Holland. The organ was donated to the Chapel in 2003 by the Fung Foundation. Our organists are Henry Wheare, Robin Newman and Liz Coupe.

For the 10th anniversary of the Chapel Organ in 2013 we celebrated with a wonderful concert, with organists from St John's Cathedral and St Stephen's College as well as our own organists. At this concert we raised over $150,000 to launch an Organ Maintenance Fund to keep the organ in good repair for some years to come.

Members and friends of the congregation make up a choir for special services including our very special Lessons and Carols by Candlelight each year before Christmas.

The latest music recital and concert at the Cathedral group with St Stephen's Chorale, Cathedral choir and other performers.
