Sunday School

Classes meet during the regular Sunday Service during school terms. Within the classes we introduce children to Christianity and key figures and stories from the bible through fun activities: stories, role play, songs and debate.

Older children are encouraged to volunteer for different tasks, reading, welcoming, taking the offertory, and serving at the altar.
Children who are baptized are welcome to receive Holy Communion, according to the policy of the Anglican Church of Hong Kong. Each year we run a short course to prepare children aged around 7 to receive communion.

Playgroup

St Stephen’s hosts a popular Playgroup for parents and toddlers that has been closed for the past 3 Covid years. Plans are being made to restart soon. St Stephen's is an ideal venue, with a hall for indoor play, a small kitchen, toilets, and best of all, a great outdoor play area right in front of the church and hall, safely enclosed with a fence. The group supports parents and provides a stimulating, nurturing and caring place for children up to 3 years old. The session comprises of indoor play, outdoor play, arts and crafts activities, snack time and song time. Members of the group are warmly invited to join us in church on Sunday mornings.  Please contact ststephensplaygroup@gmail.com

Scouts

150th St Stephen’s Scout Troop meets on Saturdays from 2 - 4 pm in the Annex next door to the Chapel. Boys and girls aged 11-16 are welcome to join Scouts. We love to have the Scouts with us in church for the annual Scout Service one Sunday morning in February.
