Harvest Festival is a time to give thanks to God for the fruit of the earth, to reflect on the harvest of our own lives, and to give to those who have less than ourselves.
Bethune House depends entirely on donations to provide a shelter for helpers who have been abused or illegally treated by their employers. Each year we take food to support them. Dried foods are needed, especially rice, noodles, milk powder and sugar. Tinned foods, in date please, but no pork products, as some of the women in the shelter are Moslems. Cooking oil and instant coffee are also welcome.
